A musical love story about Timpson is coming to the King's Head Theatre

Is there a high street shop more versatile than Timpson? It does shoes, keys, dry cleaning, phone repairs and custom-made house signs.

And now it’s the subject of a musical. Sam Cochrane and Chris Baker decided that the mystery of Timpson’s history couldn’t go unsolved, and wrote a show about it.

After a storming success at this year’s Edinburgh Fringe, Timpson: The Musical is coming to London’s King’s Head Theatre.

From forth the fatal loins of warring houses Montashoe and Keypulet, two starcross’d young inventors strive to break free from the confines of their parents’ ancient grudge.

Monty Montashoe and Keeleigh Keypulet lead the audience through Victorian London, following their dream of reaching the 50th annual Invention Convention.

Produced by Gigglemug Theatre, Timpson: The Musical has a book and lyrics by Cochrane and Baker, who also direct, and music from Theo Caplan and Tom Slade.

Timpson: The Musical runs from February 18-March 8 at the King’s Head Theatre, kingsheadtheatre.com
