The must-visit North Yorkshire luxury hot tub glamping destination that's featured on TV

Now that we can, perhaps bravely, say summer is here, many of us will be after that perfect short break which boasts some memorable identity.

Kabinas at Baxby Manor, based in North Yorkshire, might well be the perfect destination you are looking for. The stylish accommodation is glamping with a capital ‘G’.

The wonderful lodgings are finely finished with modern fixtures and fittings inside the three kabinas. Varying slightly in size, they are ideal for couples or families with a hankering for a rural retreat.

The classic sleeps three people with the accommodation featuring a super king size bed and a single sofa bed while the bigger option includes an addional bunk bed - making for potentially the perfect family getaway under the Yorkshire stars.

Present and correct you’ll find the modcons that you’ll likely desire although worth noting there isn’t a TV. That might well sound like bliss to some or come as a reminder to ensure to pack your tablet - which you can run off the speedy wifi.

For me personally, as good as the interior of the kabinas are, the outdoor elements presented the greatest highlights from our stay. For a city lad, such as I, the firepit came with excitement and a degree of trepidation. But I’m pleased to report that even I managed to master it with that feature undoubtedly adding to the set up’s charm.

As you’d expect, from the general evident quality, the outdoor decking and seating area made for a nice place to relax and take in an outdoor sunny stay. The luxurious feel reaches its peak with the adjacent private hot tub. A welcome luxury that comes as standard with all kabinas.

There’s little I love more than taking everything in while the bubbles work their magic. The hot tub is state of the art, so all you need to do is press a couple of buttons then sit back and enjoy.

For those wondering, music isn’t allowed in the outdoor spaces so no need for that mini speaker. Instead, in-keeping with the ethos, you can take in the tranquil sounds from your surroundings while in the hot tub.

On that point, the Baxby Manor fields, presents a place of respect to the nature where temporary visitors are fortunate enough to reside. Environmental facets include sustainably sourced power from the site’s very own solar panels and battery-storage, recycling schemes while wildlife inhabitants around the estate are also protected with a wide range of initiatives. You might even be fortunate enough to spot an otter during a stay.

Depending what kind of trip you are after, you can unwind taking in the ground’s eye-catching walking routes. If you prefer to venture a little further from your base then York, Thirsk and Helmsley are all relatively short drives away.

Returning to the resort, which has featured on ITV's This Morning and Channel 4's The Perfect Pitch, your accommodation is kitted out with everything you need to enjoy some homecooking - either inside or out. But, if you really would just prefer not to bother, then don’t worry as there’s a pizza shack that runs on the grounds. You might just need to give the Baxby Manor team a little prior warning - should you wish to order. This is one of those important little touches from the very accommodating team. Another which I discovered during my visit were the yoga sessions advertised. On this occassion, I didn’t partake but it was great to see that inclusivity forming part of the warm welcome.

The sleep in the kabina was incredibly peaceful and that king size bed was truly mammoth. Such was the size that it was actually one of those rare occasions where the expression ‘I climbed into bed’ feels rather appropriate on reflection. In the morning, I didn’t want to leave and, with this despire to stay a little longer, explored the woodland camping areas before leaving feeling utterly refreshed.

In terms of alternative accommodation, there’s the aforementioned camping pitches, spots for campervans and eco pods. Wandering the grounds, you’ll likely spy the treehouse overlooking the site. It looks rather impressive and would be ideal for a larger group stay.

Whatever type of experience you desire there’s no denying Baxby Manor’s offering is a must-visit.
