Myanmar chaos: Protester fearing military repercussion kneels to apologise to residents
This is the moment a protester knelt down to apologise to residents during an anti-junta rally in Yangon, Myanmar. Footage shows the masked activist, a member of the Revolutionary Youth of Yangon Force, dropping to his knees and bowing in front of the crowd in the middle of a demonstration in Myanmar's largest city on August 16. He did this to apologise to the residents, as the military usually targets areas and harasses locals where the protests take place. Myanmar has suffered ongoing unrest and uprisings from rebel groups following the removal of well-liked leader Aung San Suu Kyi in a military coup last February. Soldiers have responded with barbaric force to protests.
