We'd be lying if we didn't admit that we are itching for another season of Dancing On Ice. The hit show is set to return to our screens next year and Myleene Klass has been confirmed as the first celebrity contestant.

The singer and presenter broke the exciting news on Instagram. Sharing a gorgeous photo of herself wearing a red dress, Myleene gushed: "Guess who won’t be holding the coats at the side of the rink anymore! I am so, SO excited to be joining the cast of @dancingonice."

"My girls have always wanted me to do this but I’ve always been too scared someone will skate over my fingers! Anyway, I want to make them proud and show them I’m up for a challenge when completely out of my comfort zone but most of all, I want a bum like Jlo! ⛸🍑."

Friends and fans congratulated Myleene's announcement, including Katie Piper, who wrote: " Yay! Good luck we will be cheering you on from the sofa 🙌🏼"

Emma Bunton also cheered Myleene on in support: "Wowzer!!! You go girl! X"

The 2021 show will be presented by Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, alongside the expert panel of judges Ashley Banjo, Torvill and Dean and John Barrowman.

It will be down to both the judges and public to decide which couple will take the Dancing On Ice crown.

So far, no other celebrities have been confirmed, although rapper Lady Leshurr is rumoured to be in the running alongside comedian Rufus Hound.

We are brimming with excitement and wish Myleene the best of luck in her skates!
