Myleene Klass on her shock exit from Dancing on Ice

From Good Housekeeping

Myleene Klass has been the first celebrity to be voted off Dancing on Ice - but is staying positive, admitting she's "really chuffed" to have been part of the show.

The musician - who was paired with skating pro Lukasz Rozycki - was the first celebrity to leave the skating show after losing the series' first skate off against rapper Lady Leshurr.

She posted a video of her journey to Instagram, showing a montage of how her skating began, building to a crescendo of her performance to The Weeknd's Blinding Lights.

Her fellow Dancing on Ice contestants expressed their sadness at her departure, with Denise Van Outen commenting simply, “I’m gutted”.

Jason Donovan said, “You did great,” while skating pro Matt Evers added, “You are exactly what this show is about. From Zero to hero. So proud of you and Lukasz.”

Understandably, Myleene was positive about her time on the series. "I couldn't have done it without Lukasz and my family and my friends," she said on Sunday's (24 January) show.

"I had never skated before, I've got a skill that I learned in lockdown, who would have thought it? To all the crew, it's not been an easy production to put together in lockdown. I feel really chuffed."

Earlier this month, presenter Holly Willoughby had tipped Myleene for the win.

"I think she's got musicality, because obviously she's a musician, she's a performer, and I just think she's going to fall in love with it," she said. "That's my little insider tip. Based on nothing, by the way!"
