Yahoo News Mystery surrounds woman found dead in river six months after body discovered
Six months on and the mystery of a woman's identity persists after her body was discovered in the River Mersey.
Despite ongoing police efforts, the small-framed woman donned in a lime-green Primark crop-top and jeans from New Look has yet to be identified.
The grim discovery was reported by a member of the public on Thursday, March 21, at about 11.10am.

Found near Chorlton Water Park in south Manchester, the woman's remains were seen in the waters of the River Mersey.
Standing at 156cm tall, with a slight figure and mid-length dark brown hair, the woman was retrieved from the river but remains nameless many months later.
No one has recognised her or linked her to any missing persons cases despite multiple police appeals, leading to speculation she might hail from abroad.
Even with exhaustive detective work comprising expert assessments, DNA analyses, and checks against missing persons databases, police are yet to determine who she is.
Clad in size 8 Jenna jeans from New Look and green anti-slip socks, she also had no items that would help in identifying her, nor any obvious jewellery.
Her prolonged time submerged pre-discovery has meant that Greater Manchester Police could not initially confirm her approximate age, ethnicity, or the cause of her death back in April.
GMP recently stated there's been no new information to disclose regarding those aspects and keeps an "open mind" over what led to her death.
In April, Detective Inspector Louise Edwards from Greater Manchester Police's (GMP) Major Investigations Team urged: "We are determined to reunite this woman with her family and friends and establish the cause of her death."
"I would urge anyone with information to please come forward."
