Nabzy's is offering fast food fans the chance to taste a 'blistering' new hot sauce that tastes like Tango. The soft drink giant has launched its first ever limited edition hot sauce, Tang Reaper, an extra spicy sauce that's not for the faint hearted.

Tango has combined the world’s hottest pepper, the Carolina Reaper, and ghost chillies, with its signature tangy orange twist to make the 'bold and brave' new sauce. The Tangreaper sauce uses Carolina Reaper peppers which have a Scoville heat rating of a staggering 1.6 million units - 300 times spicier than a Jalapeño. The Carolina Reaper has even been known to rival pepper spray in potency.

Tang Reaper sauce is limited to just 200 bottles available to purchase online for £5.75. But it's also available at Nabzy’s, featuring in special menu items such as the chicken fillet burger and chicken wing roulette meal deal. The sauce will be available to diners at all 11 of the Nabzy's locations - including Liverpool city centre and Wallasey. It is also available via Deliveroo, Just Eat and Uber Eats.

Due to its extreme heat, anyone daring enough to try Tang Reaper should be strictly supervised and take safety precautions like wearing gloves and avoiding contact with eyes and skin.

Victoria Burridge, brand manager at Tango, said: “Tang Reaper is more than just a hot sauce; it’s a full-on sensory experience. We wanted to create something bold, balanced, and undeniably Tango – with a spice intensity that’s not for the faint of heart.”

Those who face Tang Reaper can expect a "journey through the heat spectrum", with a citrussy hit, followed by a numbing sensation which takes over the tongue, followed by a fierce, fiery burn that travels from mouth to throat. The heat then intensifies as eyes start to water and sweat begins to form. The fiery sensation lingers for up to five minutes before eventually giving way to a burst of endorphins, leaving some feeling a rush of euphoria known as a "chilli high."
