Nacogdoches County DA: Man sentenced to 200 years after supplying drugs for other dealers

NACOGDOCHES COUNTY, Texas (KETK) – A man was sentenced to four 50 year sentences on Thursday after pleading guilty to possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of a firearm.

According to the Nacogdoches County District Attorney’s Office, Ottis Solomon was found to be distributing methamphetamine in Nacogdoches that he transported from Houston.

In August of 2022, officials found a gun, over 400 grams of methamphetamine, ledgers and cash in Solomon’s property following a search, a release said.

The District Attorney’s office said a Lieutenant testified during the punishment hearing that Solomon was supplying drugs to other dealers in the community and after his arrest there was less methamphetamine found in the county.

Solomon pled guilty to three counts of possession of a controlled substance and one count of felon in possession of a firearm and was sentenced to 50 years incarceration for each charge.
