Nacogdoches road closures continue for storm drain replacement project

NACOGDOCHES, Texas (KETK) – The city of Nacogdoches announced that road closures are expected to last a couple more weeks as the storm drain replacement project on Park Street is almost complete.

On Tuesday, the city of Nacogdoches said the storm drain project is now in its “final stages of completion.” Nacogdoches shared that starting Wednesday, the closure on Mound Street would extend north to Houston Street as a result of the project.

According to the city, the following streets will be closed to thru traffic and only open to homeowners:

  • 700 block of Mound Street from Houston to Hughes Street

  • 300 block of Hughes Street from Fredonia to Mound Street

The city said that until the project is completed, current closures will remain.

“Motorists should continue to expect delays while traveling in these areas. Additional closures and traffic patterns within the area will continue to shift as our contractor nears completion of the project just north of the Hughes and Mound Street intersection,” the city of Nacogdoches said.
