Naked Attraction is easily one of the most controversial dating shows to air in recent history, thanks to its barrage of nudity right from the start.

And host Anna Richardson has admitted that things can get a bit awkward behind the scenes.

Speaking on the Andy Jaye Podcast, she revealed: "We did have a couple of seasons ago, there was a young man who I think might have been in the pink pod and he was getting a little bit excited about what was about to happen.

"So our lovely floor manager, Dave the floor manager, had to go 'come on' and just had to escort him off the floor for a little while, just to calm down. And then he was brought back onto set."

She added: "It all happens. Boys being boys – you can't control your anatomy, can you? So, there's been a little bit of excitement."

Anna continued to add that men and women have different desires on the set when they are standing in their coloured boxes having their genitals examined.

"The boys always want the studio to be warm, and they're all doing that crafty tug behind the pods because they want their manhood to look their very best," she said.

"They’re always fiddling and touching… whereas the girls want the studio to be freezing because they want their boobs to look their very best."

Naked Attraction previously shocked the stars watching it for Celebrity Gogglebox when one contestant shared her dislike for "saggy balls" due to the noise they make.

Anna then asked all the men to shake about and listened for the sound made, resulting in some very shocked reactions.

Naked Attraction is available on All 4.
