Naked man runs from house after police officer pushed down stairs
A naked man ran from a house after a police officer was pushed down the stairs. Matrix officers attended a house in Clubmoor on Monday, September 9, to speak to people living there.
On arrival there was a strong smell of cannabis and officers made attempts to arrest two men. A struggle broke out during which an officer was reportedly pushed down the stairs and one of the men, who was undressed, ran from the house.
He later handed himself in at a police station and Merseyside Police confirmed the officer was not injured. Police carried out a search of the house and a large quantity of cannabis was recovered.

Three people were arrested on suspicion of drugs offences, including a 21-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of escaping lawful custody, possession with intent to supply Class B drugs and possession of criminal property, a 41-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of common assault of an emergency worker, obstructing a constable, possession with intent to supply Class B drugs and possession of criminal property and a 41-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class B drugs and possession of criminal property.
All three have been released under investigation pending further enquiries. Matrix disruption Inspector Ian Peacock said: “We have recovered a huge quantity of drugs destined for our streets and further afield.
“Drug dealing and organised crime is hugely damaging to our communities, often involving intimidation, violence and creating fear where criminals involved have no thought for anyone other than themselves. I would ask anyone who has any information about who is supplying or selling drugs in their area to contact us so we can continue to take action.”
