Named and shamed: Latest driving offenders to be sentenced at Hull Magistrates' Court

Many more drivers from across East Yorkshire have been banned from the roads by magistrates in Hull in recent days.

Motorists caught driving under the influence of drink or drugs and whilst disqualified and without insurance were handed lengthy driving bans and hefty fines, as well as a man caught driving without a seatbelt.

Here are eight driving offenders who were sentenced at Hull Magistrates' Court last week.

Lee Preston, 34, of Green Road, Hedon pleaded guilty to dangerous driving and driving whilst over the legal alcohol limit. He was given a one-year suspended sentence order, banned from driving for 22 months and ordered to pay a £200 fine, a £154 victim services surcharge and £85 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service.

Catherine Woods, 39, of Greenford Gardens, Hull pleaded guilty to driving whilst above the legal alcohol limit. She was banned from driving for 13 months and ordered to pay a £120 fine.

Christopher Walker, 34, of Newtondale, Hull pleaded guilty to driving whilst under the influence of cannabis. He was banned from driving for one year and ordered to pay a £249 fine, a £100 victim services surcharge and £85 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service.

Joshuah Mwadira, 48, of May Street, Hull pleaded guilty to driving whilst above the legal alcohol limit. He was banned from driving for 11 months and ordered to pay a £369 fine, a £148 victim services surcharge and £85 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service.

Guy Saleh, 22, of Fairfield Road, Bridlington pleaded guilty to driving without insurance, driving without an appropriate licence and failing to stop the vehicle when directed to do so by a police constable. He was given eight points on his licence and ordered to pay a £120 fine, £85 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service and a £48 victim services surcharge.

Chloe Ahad, 24, of Buckingham Street, Hull pleaded guilty to driving whilst disqualified and driving without insurance. She was banned from driving for six months and ordered to pay a £200 fine, £85 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service and a £80 victim services surcharge.

Darren Smith, 38, of Gypsey Road, Bridlington pleaded guilty to driving without a seatbelt, driving without insurance, driving without an appropriate licence and failing to stop the vehicle when directed to do so by a police constable. He was given six points on his licence and ordered to pay a £200 fine, £85 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service and a £80 victim services surcharge.

Ryder Suffling, 35, of Ringstead Garth, Bransholme pleaded guilty to driving whilst under the influence of cannabis. He was banned from driving for one year and ordered to pay a £120 fine, £85 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service and a £48 victim services surcharge.
