Building up to and during the lockdown, Naomi Campbell has let us in on much of her day-to-day routine.

From her in-flight safety precautions to her daily workouts on Instagram with Ocho System founder Joe Holder, the supermodel has also shared her conversations with some of the world’s biggest players in fashion, entertainment and sports.

And now, thanks to her personal chef, Sean John, we know what Campbell keeps in her kitchen. Speaking with Page Six, John shared that while the 50-year-old doesn’t eat dairy, gluten or chicken, “she has to have flavor.”

John, who is the owner of two restaurants in New York City’s Chelsea Market, Tings and Le Song, has been working with Campbell for over 10 years. “She has her own stuff at home, but I prepare one really good meal a day, and it’s super clean and really healthy,” John told Page Six.

“She’s an Ital, which is a Jamaican word for clean vegetarian style, like Bob Marley rasta talk,” he explained. “She has to have flavor. You can’t just put salt and pepper in it. I don’t do that anyway, but she knows! There’s got to be some spice and herbs. She’s all about making it soulful and flavorful.”

John also noted that Campbell’s meals are never from his restaurants' own menus. “She never orders from the restaurant. It’s never from the menu. She’s basically like, ‘Make something, but not what’s on the menu,’ so it’s always a creative process.”

And in case you were wondering, Campbell’s elaborate travel routine goes beyond Dettol wipes and face masks. “When she travels private, I prepare those meals, too,” John said. “She doesn’t eat plane food."
