Nasralla Supporters Protest in Tegucigalpa as Presidential Vote Count Continues

Supporters of Honduras’ opposition leader Salvador Nasralla gathered in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, on Thursday, November 30, to protest the presidential election after President Juan Orlando Hernandez called an early election win.

This video posted with hashtag #NasrallaPresidente shows tension in Tegucigalpa.

Nasralla campaigned on an anti-corruption platform represented by the Opposition Alliance, which consists of the Liberal Party and the opposition leader’s own PAC (Partido Anticorrupcion).

After a computer glitch that shut down vote counting for several hours, Nasralla has “alleged fraud and said he won’t respect the official results,” according to reports.
