'Nasty' Nick Bateman to return to Big Brother for 20th anniversary?

It’s a sign of the times that back in 2000, Nick Bateman became known as “Nasty Nick” after he secretly showed his fellow Big Brother housemates names of who they should nominate each week in an attempt to “fix” the first ever series.

We mean, considering the amount of truly “nasty” things that we have seen in the hit reality show since, Nick is practically an angel.

However, the notorious BB contestant is set to make a triumphant return to the show for its’ 20th anniversary special, set to air in January.

The series will be the 20th series of Big Brother and producers are determined to make it something special by creating an all-star series.

Speaking to The Mirror, a Channel 5 source explained: “The line-up for All Star Big Brother is already looking great. Obviously bosses hope Nick will return to his underhand tactics and cause controversy all over again.

“Even 16 years after the first series, fans of the show will remember his performance – he’s one of the all time stars of the show. He’ll be in good company though, there are plenty of other villains being lined up to appear with him.

“Bringing back the celebs who they know will cause the drama could result in the most explosive series so far.

“Usually celebrity housemates brag about how controversial and confrontational they’ll be while they’re being screened by producers before going in. But then nothing happens.

“This way there’ll be no dull moments as they know who will be worth their fee.”

Former Strictly Come Dancing star, James Jordan, and controversial US columnist Perez Hilton are also thought to be returning for the anniversary special.

Nick was eventually kicked out of Big Brother after five weeks due to his underhand tactics, sneaking a pen and paper into the house – both banned items – in an attempt to sway how his housemates voted, also lying about having lost his wife in a car crash to make the other contestants like him.

The first series of the show was eventually won by Craig Phillips.
