Yahoo News Natalie Portman on whether she'd return to Star Wars
Thor: Love and Thunder actress Natalie Portman has revealed whether she'd ever return to the Star Wars franchise.
The actress and occasional rapper appeared in George Lucas' three Star Wars prequels as Padmé Amidala, with the character dying at the end of Revenge of the Sith after giving birth to Luke Skywalker and Leia Organa.
Despite the backlash those films received, and having previously stated that they almost ruined her career, Portman has now stated that she actually would consider a comeback.

Responding to internet comments in one of GQ's 'Actually Me' videos, Portman said: "No one's ever asked me to return, but I'm open to it."
One person who kind of asked Portman to return to Star Wars was Taika Waititi... except that he forgot that she was in the franchise in the first place and actually asked her to join it.
Recalling that moment, Portman said: "He asked me if it wanted to be in a Star Wars movie and I was like, 'I was.'
"I thought he was joking. He's such a joker that I thought it was a joke, and then afterwards he said in some interview that he was cringing afterwards."

The actress also reacted to a photo of one of Padmé's outfits from The Phantom Menace, talking about how much she loved the Japanese influence in it. And she revealed that she pinched the prop of Anakin Skywalker's Jedi padawan hair braid from the set of Attack of the Clones. Unfortunately, she's since lost it.
Anakin actor Hayden Christensen and Obi-Wan Kenobi actor Ewan McGregor recently reprised their roles for the Obi-Wan Kenobi series on Disney+, with the former mostly appearing in flashbacks.
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker and the entire Skywalker Saga are available on DVD, Blu-ray and 4K now, as well as on Disney+.
