National Education Union calls for more Covid-19 mitigations in schools in wake of JCVI jab decision

The National Education Union (NEU) said it is not its job to second guess the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation’s decision not to approve Covid-19 vaccines for all 12-15 year olds but called for more Covid-19 mitigations to be put in place in schools. Kevin Courtney, the Joint General Secretary of the NEU, said the Government need to do more on ventilation, mask-wearing and testing in schools as the new term begins.
