National Guard Assists Staff in Concord Hospital as COVID-19 Cases Rise

National Guard soldiers have been assisting staff in New Hampshire hospitals as COVID-19 case numbers have risen in December and January.

Video released by the New Hampshire National Guard on January 6 shows troops prepping meals for patients and staff members in Concord Hospital.

In the footage, Sgt Jonathan Chaisson explains they are working as line cooks to prepare meals for patients and staff, bringing meals to patients, and cleaning.

In mid-December, dozens of National Guard soldiers were deployed in New Hampshire health care facilities to assist with what they are terming Operation Winter Surge, according to a local report.
