National Rail confirms date no services will run from Nuneaton station this week

All lines will be closed at Nuneaton Train Station on one day this weekend

No trains will run from or to Nuneaton Railway Station one day this weekend. Engineering works are due to take place on Sunday (October 6).

This means that all lines have to be closed and there will be no services that start, end or call through at the Trent Valley Station. The routes impacted include Avanti West Coast routes to / from London Euston via Nuneaton.

Also London Northwestern Railway between London Euston and Crewe. There will be train diversions put in place as well as rail replacement buses.

Avanti West Coast:

All lines through Nuneaton are closed and trains will be diverted via Birmingham New Street.

The following amended service will be in operation:

  • 1 train per hour between London Euston and Manchester Piccadilly via Stafford and Stoke-on-Trent.

  • 1 train per hour between London Euston and Manchester Piccadilly via Stafford, Crewe, and Wilmslow.

  • 1 train per hour between London Euston and Glasgow Central, stopping additionally at Crewe.

  • 1 train per hour between London Euston and Edinburgh / Glasgow Central via Birmingham New Street (connecting at Coventry with rail replacement buses to Nuneaton).

  • 1 train per two hours between Crewe and Liverpool Lime Street.

  • Trains between London Euston and Holyhead will not run.

London Northwestern Railway:

Trains between London Euston and Crewe will run between London Euston and Rugby only.

The 21:13 Crewe to Northampton service will not run.

Rail replacement buses will operate between Rugby and Stafford. For more details on the service changes, visit the website here
