National Television Awards: Rylan Clark-Neal Takes The Tube To The Ceremony

Rylan Clark-Neal might have been nominated for a prestigious National Television Award last night, but that doesn’t mean that he has forgotten his roots.

In fact, Ry proved that he is still pretty ruddy normal as he took to his Instagram account to share a pic of himself making his way to the posh ceremony but it’s probably not what you’d expect…

Instead of a selfie in the back of a swanky limo, Rylan posed on the London Underground tube - the Jubilee line at Stanmore to be precise.

Well, to be fair, the O2 arena is in the middle of blimmin’ nowhere - the tube is deffo the most effective way to get around.

Rylan captioned the excitable snap with: “Ere we go…. Single zone 2 please X”.

The 27-year-old had been nominated for the ‘Best Presenter’ award for his amazing work on Big Brother’s Bit On The Side, but sadly lost out to Ant and Dec, who took home the gong for the fifteenth year running.

Cor, talk about some things never changing, eh?

Still, Rylan was more-than-prepared for defeat, previously tweeting that he was practicing his “gracious loser face” and also taking to social media after the event to thank fans for their support.

He wrote: “Absolutely made up to have even been here. Thanks to everyone who voted. All my love xxxx”.

He later took to Twitter to also clarify that last night’s episode of CBBBOTS was recorded earlier in the day, quipping: “Just to clarify… Tonights #CBBBOTS was recorded earlier today….. I ain’t that effin’ good of a presenter haha enjoy the show xxx”

Best Presenter winner or not, we ruddy love you, Rylan.
