Native American Community Stranded as Flooding Hits South Dakota Reservation

Emergency management officials continued to help residents of the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota on March 25 after severe flooding cut off roads and prompted evacuations.

The New York Times reported that some residents had been stranded in their homes for two weeks as a result of the flooding. Local emergency management said on Sunday that they were working to get to people with medical needs.
