Naughty Dog has announced that standalone Uncharted 4 expansion The Lost Legacy will launch on 23 August in Europe and a day earlier in North America. A scene from early on in the game, starring protagonists Chloe Frazer and Nadine Ross, has also been released.
Announced in a blog post, those who pre-order Naughty Dog's final entry in the series will receive a copy of the upcoming PS4 version of PS2 platformer Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy as a digital download.
Jak and Daxter was Naughty Dog's PS2-era series, its last on the platform before moving on to Uncharted and The Last of Us for PS3 and PS4.
The Lost Legacy will also be automatically added to the collections of any player who purchased the Uncharted 4: A Thief's End Digital Deluxe Edition, Explorer's Pack, or the Triple Pack when that game released last May.

The game will retail at £34.99 (€39.99, $39.99).
"In December [when the game was announced] we said that we're approaching this project as a true Uncharted game, complete with its own deep narrative with complex character development, all-new destinations, refined gameplay, and blockbuster cinematic moments," reads the blog.
"We're especially excited to have Chloe as our new protagonist and explore more of her story as she and Nadine venture across India in search of the fabled Tusk of Ganesh. To that end, we wanted to share a new scene from early on in the game as Chloe and Nadine try to unravel the clues leading to the Tusk's location."

Recently, Naughty Dog director of communications Arne Meyer hinted during an interview with IBTimes UK that The Lost Legacy may be around 10 hours in length.
"Years ago, when we were asked if we were ever doing a single-player expansion for Uncharted we always said, 'Well, we don't have the self-discipline to do that'. If we tried to do that we'd create a full game," Meyer told us.
"There's no way we could constrict and restrain ourselves, and that's exactly what was happening here. When we were doing story pitches, we were coming up with a game that would be over ten hours long and so we suddenly realised everything we said was true and we couldn't keep it short."
The Lost Legacy will be the first Uncharted title to not star or – as far as we know – feature Nathan Drake, whose story came to an end in last year's game.
