Navy SEAL Dies After Parachute Fails to Open in Fleet Week Demonstration

A member of the US Navy SEAL parachute team, the Leap Frogs, died after his parachute failed to open during a Fleet Week event on May 28.

The incident occurred at a Memorial Day demonstration, according to reports from WABC and MSN. The NAVY SEAL’s parachute failed to open and he fell into the water near Jersey City’s Liberty State Park. His parachute separated from him and landed in a Jersey City parking lot, as seen in this footage taken by uploader Aaron Moss.
