Naya Rivera's sister has responded to claims she's moved in with her late sister's ex-husband Ryan Dorsey.

The Glee actress passed away in July after a tragic accident while out on a boat with her son Josey.

It was recently reported that Nickayla Rivera had moved in with Dorsey to help raise the 5-year-old after being pictured helping Dorsey move his belongings into a new home.

She wrote on her Instagram Stories that her nephew is her top priority.

"In the darkest time of my life, the only thing that is important is my friends & family," she said. "Showing up for my nephew even though I can't show up for myself."

Her message continued: "I'm not concerned with the ways things look because no one can see each agonising moment we all endure.

"What matters most I've learned is to show compassion, not to judge others, & never take a moment of life for granted. I hope you all can do the same."

Naya took Josey out on a boat in Lake Piru, Los Angeles in July. The child was later found alone on the boat, telling police that his mother had jumped into the water and not resurfaced.

The Ventura County Medical Examiner confirmed that her death was an accidental drowning.

Nickayla previously shared a tribute to her sister following her passing, writing: "Sister, there are no words to describe my love for you.

"Side by side or miles apart, our connection is infinite. Our bond is unbreakable. We were complete opposites, yet simultaneously the same. The yin to my yang. I never knew that by losing you, I would find so much of you in myself. ⁣

"I've never known a life without you in it & still can't imagine it. My world is turned upside down. But through it all, everything we were, we are still. I'll always look at you with the same eyes as I did when I was young.⁣

"My shmaya, I'll love you for eternity & miss you every second of my life."
