NBA-National Basketball Association roundup

Nov 22 (The Sports Xchange) - Miami Heat shooting guard Dwyane Wade missed his fifth straight game Saturday with a strained hamstring. The Heat ruled him out against the Orlando Magic. Wade participated in some light shooting during the Heat's morning shootaround, but was deemed not healthy enough to play Saturday night. "He's making strides," coach Erik Spoelstra said, according to the Orlando Sun-Sentinel. "We'll just evaluate him every single day. Every day, he's been able to do more. When you have a muscle issue, you don't want to use the words 'fast track.' " The Heat's next game is Sunday against the Charlotte Hornets. Wade is averaging 19.8 points on 50.8 percent shooting and 6.4 assists in 32.4 minutes over eight games this season. - - - Small forward Kevin Durant and guard Russell Westbrook of the Oklahoma City Thunder are healing quickly and might be able to return to the starting lineup within a week, the Oklahoman reported. Westbrook is recovering from surgery for a broken bone in his right hand, while Durant is coming back from a broken bone in his right foot. - - - A strained right calf muscle prevented New York Knicks forward Andrea Bargnani from making his season debut Saturday night. Bargnani, who strained his right hamstring during the preseason, was injured during practice Friday. A MRI revealed the calf strain. Bargnani, a former number one overall draft pick, has struggled with injuries since the Knicks acquired him from the Toronto Raptors. He has not played a regular-season game since last January because of torn ligament in his left elbow. - - - The NBA said that Milwaukee Bucks forward John Henson was incorrectly credited with a three-pointer with 1:44 left in Friday's game against the Toronto Raptors at the Air Canada Centre. The correction changes the score but not the final outcome. (Editing by Gene Cherry)
