NBA Star Ben Simmons Blows Away Competition in Melbourne Amateur Basketball League

NBA star Ben Simmons surprised amateur basketball players in Melbourne, August 21, when he took part in a local basketball competition.

The 21-year-old Melbourne native took a break from coaching a nearby basketball camp to compete in a Monday night social league game at the Diamond Valley Basketball Arena in Greensborough.

Local media report that Simmons, playing for a team titled the Splashers in the Diamond Valley Basketball Association Civic League, finished the game with 34 points. The Splashers defeated fellow local side the Redbacks 72-52.
