Yahoo News NCIS confirms when Cote de Pablo returns as Ziva
NCIS stunned fans during the season 16 final, as Ziva David 'returned from the dead' in the final moments.
The special agent, played by Cote de Pablo, also returned for the first two episodes of season 17, where she told Gibbs she had one more thing to do, and she needed to do it alone, before disappearing.
But now we know Ziva will be making her return on December 17 (the final episode of 2019) and January 7, 2020 (the first episode of 2020).
Speaking to TV Line, actress Diona Reasonover, who plays Kasie Hines, also teased that "up until this last episode that we filmed… our characters [Kasie and Ziva] have never met on-screen."
Which means the meeting could take place in the upcoming episodes.
Reasonover previously spoke to Digital Spy about Ziva's return, revealing that her appearance at the end of last season was kept secret from her and she only found out when she watched the episode on the night of broadcast.
"I feel like everybody secretly knew but me!" she laughed. "Not only did I find out after probably all the cast and crew, but I found out after the East Coast too, because I had been watching on West Coast time.
"Everybody knew about this except for me! I was the last one to know."
NCIS airs on CBS in the US, and on FOX UK in the UK.
