New NCT bus badly damaged in Bulwell bridge crash as investigation launched
An NCT bus has been badly damaged after reportedly crashing into a bridge in Bulwell. A Nottinghamshire Live reader reported that a Yellow Line vehicle crashed into the main block of the bridge on Bagnall Road in Bulwell at around 2pm on Friday (January 31).
A picture from the scene shows that most of the vehicle's windscreen has been smashed and that a large section of the front is missing. The vehicle affected appears to be one of NCT's newer electric vehicles.
An NCT spokesperson confirmed: "One of our buses has been involved in an RTC on Bagnall Road. There are no reported injuries and investigations are underway as to the cause."

Electric buses for the Yellow Line fleet, comprising services 70 and 71, were only rolled out earlier this year. The total cost of the electric bus project, including the price of the buses, is £30 million.
The Department for Transport is providing £12.3 million of that, whilst the rest comes from NCT investment. The bridge at Bagnall Road is situated close to the Headstocks pub and NET's Cinderhill tram stop.
