For those curious as to the sounds a porcupine makes, the Saco River Wildlife Center of Limington, Maine, released a video montage demonstrating just how adorable their squeaks are.
Footage released by the center on February 2 shows the various vocalizations made by porcupines.
“Since porcupines have poor eyesight, they heavily rely on different senses to help them navigate and survive in the wild,” wrote the Saco River Wildlife Center on Facebook. “These unique vocalizations help them to communicate. Primarily these noises consist of grunting, teeth chattering, and even loud shrieking!” Credit: Saco River Wildlife Center via Storyful
