When it comes to decorating your home's exterior for Halloween, there's nothing wrong with going all out. It's a great way to spread joy during a year where so many traditional spooky festivities have been limited.

One home in Riverside, California, has been garnering a lot of attention for its extremely realistic Halloween display. In fact, residents in the area have called 911 after passing by.

The house, owned by Halloween lovers Carmen and Travis Long, appears to the naked eye to be on fire. Massive flames flare up behind the first floor windows, as smoke is seen moving across the lawn. Skeletons and pirate cannons deck out the rest of the home’s front.

Now, of course, the home is not actually on fire — the Longs are just really good at sticking to a theme. "My husband 'stole' the idea from the Pirates of the Caribbean ride at Disneyland," Carmen Long told Fox 13. She explained that the "fire" is "just satin cloth, an orange light, a red light, and a fan."

However, the fire looks so real that it has prompted many concerned residents to call the fire department. Because of all these false alarms, the couple has been in close contact with the department and checks in with them each weekend when the display is on. The Longs also noted that their home has a fire alarm system so if an actual fire does break out, firefighters will be notified.

"We do this for the public's enjoyment," Carmen said during a video interview with Riverside County Media. She also invites locals to come check out the home for themselves. Located at Chapman Place and Magnolia Avenue in the city of Riverside, the fire is on display on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. PT.
