Neighbours fans will see Bea Nilsson's life hang in the balance next week as Scarlett Brady makes a dangerous move in her quest for Ned Willis.

Bea (Bonnie Anderson) finds herself caught in the crossfire of Scarlett's ruthless behaviour when the Ramsay Street newcomer tries to stir up trouble between Ned and his girlfriend Yashvi Rebecchi.

As Bea prepares for her latest gig at The Waterhole, Scarlett (Christie Whelan Browne) decides to use the occasion as an opportunity to split up Ned and Yashvi.

Knowing how protective Ned (Ben Hall) is over Bea, scheming Scarlett sabotages her microphone lead ahead of her big performance – fraying it near where it connects to the amp.

Scarlett then calls Ned to the bar on the pretext of a work mix-up – just in time for him to see Bea plug her microphone into the jack and receive a nasty electric shock.

Bea is in terrible danger as her hand gets fused to the lead by the current, but Ned jumps in to break the connection with a bar stool.

Ned then rushes Bea to the hospital, with the incident making him forget all about his plans to meet up with Yashvi (Olivia Junkeer) that afternoon.

When Yashvi seeks an explanation over his no-show, Scarlett gives her a warped version of what happened – downplaying the seriousness of the situation and highlighting how Ned seemed desperate to help his ex.

Yashvi is quick to confront Ned, who assumes that she heard the real story and can't believe her apparent selfishness. As Ned decides that he needs a break from his relationship with "immature" Yashvi, sly Scarlett is triumphant over the success of her mission.

Meanwhile, Bea regains consciousness at the hospital, but is confused when everyone assumes that her microphone cord was frayed due to wear and tear.

Bea can't shake the feeling that the explanation doesn't add up, as she is always extremely careful to check her music equipment. Has Scarlett aroused suspicion?

Neighbours airs these scenes on Monday, September 30 and Tuesday, October 1 at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5 (UK) and 6.30pm on 10 Peach (Australia).
