Neighbours spoilers follow for UK viewers.
Neighbours' Des Clarke will return to Ramsay Street again, thanks to Nicolette Stone.
In scenes airing next week, Nicolette (Charlotte Chimes) shares with her mother Jane Harris (Annie Jones) that she's still affected by Jane's hurtful reaction when she came out as a lesbian.
When Nicolette later tells Paul Robinson (Stefan Dennis) that she believes things are getting better between her and her mother, Paul mentions that Jane isn't over her split with Des (Paul Keane), particularly since it didn't come long after the catfish incident.
In response, Nicolette decides to do something, resulting in Des making plans to show up in Erinsborough.
At first, Jane isn't happy with the idea, but Nicolette says she's keen to help and make things right.
When Des arrives, the former couple have a long-overdue honest discussion about their relationship and together come to a significant decision.
"I think they both tried very hard to make it their happy ending, but the timing just wasn't right for them," Annie Jones, who plays Jane, recently said. "They have decided they are perhaps better off being just good friends."
Neighbours airs these scenes on Wednesday, September 16 and Thursday, September 17 at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5.
