Neighbours spoilers follow for UK and Australian viewers.
Neighbours' Chloe Brennan and Nicolette Stone finally get together on Australian screens next week.
In upcoming scenes on 10 Peach, Nicolette (Charlotte Chimes) learns from Chloe's brother Aaron (Matt Wilson) how Chloe feels.
At first, Nicolette refuses to believe him. After all, Chloe did invite Nicolette to her bedroom almost immediately after Fay died. Nicolette respectfully turned Chloe down at the time.
Believing Chloe is still grieving, Nicolette wants to move on particularly with a baby on the way.
"Although she's wanted this since they met, she's afraid Chloe is rushing into things as a result of her grief," Charlotte explained to TV Week. "She doesn't want to ruin their friendship or ultimately get her heart broken."
But things change when Chloe tells Nicolette that her feelings are genuine. Nicolette responds by opening up to her friend, and it results in a kiss between the pair.
Jane Harris (Annie Jones) has been in Brisbane for a training course and holiday in recent weeks, and the first thing she sees when arriving back home is her daughter Nicolette and Chloe kissing. Jane is conflicted about this new relationship, knowing how long Nicolette has pined for Chloe.
Nicolette hopes her mother can be supportive of the relationship.
"Jane has always had concerns about her friendship with Chloe, as she wants her daughter to protect her heart," Charlotte said.
"So Nic knows her concern comes from a good place, but at the same time, doesn't want the love bubble to burst."
Complicating matters, Jane and Nicolette previously agreed to move in together and while Jane is keen for this to still happen, Nicolette is caught in two minds – wanting to spend time with both Chloe and her mother...
These scenes air in the UK in five weeks' time.
Neighbours airs weekdays at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5 (UK) and 6.30pm on 10 Peach (Australia).
