Neighbours couple David and Aaron face baby surprise in new scenes

·2-min read

Neighbours spoilers follow for UK viewers.

Neighbours' David Tanaka and Aaron Brennan get a big shock on UK screens next week, as Paul Robinson returns with baby Isla – but all is not what it seems.

A heavily pregnant Nicolette Stone (Charlotte Chimes) recently fled Erinsborough, which eventually lead to Paul Robinson (Stefan Dennis) flying out to Canberra to track her down.

In upcoming scenes, Paul turns up at Number 32 and hands over Isla to a stunned David (Takaya Honda) and Aaron (Matt Wilson).

Paul explains Nicolette had already given birth, and although David and Aaron are initially frustrated that he kept his trip from them, the couple are overjoyed to have Isla.

But David, Aaron, and Paul are all unaware that this Isla isn't their daughter.

Although Paul offered Nicolette $1,000,000 in return for the baby – and for her to stay away from Erinsborough forever – Nicolette actually gave Paul a baby that wasn't hers, meaning the real baby Isla is still with her.

Jane Harris (Annie Jones), who was in Queensland trying to follow up her own lead on her daughter's location, soon arrives home and wants to know why Paul did not bring Nicolette back. She's further taken aback when hardly anyone, including David and Aaron, don't seem to be concerned by Nicolette's ongoing disappearance.

Chloe Brennan (April Rose Pengilly) appears to be the only other person devastated.

Desperate for answers from Paul, Jane eventually breaks down in his arms, not knowing Paul's part in what happened.

Meanwhile, Chloe learns that Nicolette only wrote letters for David, Aaron, and Jane, which she struggles to cope with.

And despite making up with David, Leo Tanaka (Tim Kano) decides to leave Erinsborough for a little while but indicates to his brother that he will be back.

Neighbours airs these scenes on Monday, September 6 at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5.
