Neighbours fans will see a cover-up begin today (October 18) as Pierce Greyson desperately tries to protect his son Hendrix.

Pierce (Tim Robards) is horrified after Hendrix's joyriding caused an accident at a Lassiters event, but his anger quickly turns to concern over what this means for the teenager's future.

As Pierce tries his best to pull Hendrix (Benny Turland) from the crashed car, Roxy Willis steps in to free Harlow Robinson from the collapsed tent.

Although Harlow (Jemma Donovan) is rushed to hospital, the good news is that she only has minor injuries.

Pierce is annoyed when Hendrix doesn't seem overly apologetic over his latest bad behaviour, but he shows where his loyalties lie when Paul Robinson (Stefan Dennis) gets involved.

As Paul rants at Hendrix for injuring his granddaughter and potentially ruining the hotel's Melbourne Cup plans, Pierce steps in and takes the blame.

Rather than letting Hendrix's joyriding become a police matter, Pierce lies that he asked his son to park the car and things spiralled badly out of control.

Hendrix is in the clear thanks to Pierce taking the blame, which leads to a long-awaited thawing in their relationship.

However, one person who isn't so forgiving is Harlow, who takes Hendrix to task for buying her cheap flowers and giving a half-hearted apology.

As Pierce dares to hope that Hendrix is changing his ways, is he in for a major disappointment over his son's attitude?

Neighbours airs today at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5 (UK) and 6.30pm on 10 Peach (Australia).
