Neighbours is currently setting up an exciting new year of storylines, and now it's been confirmed that 2020 will see a new Canning family member introduced to Ramsay Street.
The Australian soap recently aired Amy Williams' (Zoe Cramond) last scenes after she broke up with boyfriend Kyle Canning (Chris Milligan) and decided to move to New York with her son Jimmy.
In a new interview with TV Week, the show's executive producer Jason Herbison has discussed what's on the cards for Kyle after Amy's exit, and he also teased a "very busy year" ahead for the Cannings in general as the family gets a little bigger.
"Kyle won't be in a hurry to jump into a new relationship, but the Cannings are going to have a very busy year," Herbison explained.
"Expect to see a new member of the family introduced in the first half of 2020, which will be particularly challenging."
"2019 was a turbulent year for Amy and she ultimately makes the right decision for herself," Herbison exclusively told Digital Spy.
"Jimmy is very much a factor in her plans, so in many ways, she's come full circle since she arrived in the show. Her departure will cause Kyle to reassess his life and his hopes for future relationships."
Neighbours airs at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5 (UK) and 6.30pm on 10 Peach (Australia).
