Neighbours' Jodi Gordon may be nearing yet another return to Ramsay Street.

Last year, the Australian soap was infamously ditched by its financiers before being resuscitated by Amazon Freevee, with several of its original cast already signed on to reprise their respective characters.

Now, after playing Elly Conway between 2016 and 2020, and then again in that emotional finale when she reunited with Chloe Brennan, it seems as though Gordon is bracing herself for more soap action in a few months' time.

"There are conversations happening, I say that with a big smile on my face," the actress recently told Studio 10's Angela Bishop, Tristan MacManus and Narelda Jacobs (via Daily Mail), suggesting we could see the character back.

She's not the only cast member speaking out about the soap revival, though.

Her legendary co-star Alan Fletcher (who played Karl Kennedy) reacted to the show's revival early last month, saying during an appearance on Good Morning Britain: "More than five million people watched the last episode in the UK and it was the highest-rated programme here in Australia.

"I think that people just recognise that and realise this show is too popular to let slip, so we're very, very pleased that Amazon has picked up the show."

Susan Kennedy star Jackie Woodburne has also spoken out, telling Nova in November: "I couldn't be more thrilled. This is the most wonderful, wonderful news.

"Just think all those jobs back for all those people, and all those fans and viewers who write to us still every day telling us how much they missed the show and how much they wish it was back."

Neighbours returns in the second half of 2023 with new episodes streaming free on Amazon Freevee in the UK and US. Network 10 will retain first-run rights in Australia for the new series.
