Neighbours spoilers follow for UK viewers.

Neighbours' Karl Kennedy is arrested on UK screens next week, after being accused of pushing Olivia Bell down the stairs.

The shock arrest happens following Karl and Olivia's confrontation at the school, which results in Olivia slipping and falling down. Although Karl does not push Olivia, there are no other witnesses, leading police officer Levi Canning to suspect his neighbour.

In next week's scenes on Channel 5, Karl (Alan Fletcher) is shocked when Olivia (Alyce Platt), who has woken up from her coma, accuses him of pushing her down and causing her fall.

But when he sees how terrified Olivia is of him in another conversation at the hospital, Karl realises how threatening his behaviour was at the school, and understands how Olivia was scared for her safety.

Karl feels immensely guilty over his part in the accident, and wants to meet up with her.

At the meeting, Karl acknowledges his behaviour and takes responsibility for making her feel intimidated.

This only makes matters worse for Karl, as not long after their meeting, Levi (Richie Morris) visits the Kennedy household.

It turns out that Olivia reported the conversation to the police, claiming that Karl took responsibility for the fall.

After questioning Karl some more, Levi has no choice but to arrest him – to the shock of Susan (Jackie Woodburne), Bea Nilsson (Bonnie Anderson), and Hendrix Greyson (Benny Turland).

Recent weeks have seen Olivia trying to persuade Susan to be involved in Olivia's new and more truthful version of The Devil You Know, the controversial book about Finn Kelly's crimes.

Susan did initially agree, but pulled out following concerns over her mental health when her visions of Finn began to get out of control.

Neighbours airs these scenes in the week commencing Monday, April 12 on Channel 5.
