Neighbours' Leo Tanaka finds himself at the centre of a life-or-death situation next week as one of his old friends gets stabbed.

A tense new storyline on the Aussie soap sees Leo (Tim Kano) receive an unwelcome visit from Mannix Foster, a troublesome face from his past who seems to be hiding something.

The mysterious situation escalates in dramatic style next week when Leo discovers that Mannix (Sam Webb) has been viciously attacked by an enemy, who's tracked him down in Erinsborough.

As Mannix is bleeding heavily due to a knife wound, Leo has no choice but to beg his doctor brother David for help treating him.

Sensing how dodgy the situation is, David is reluctant to get involved but he ultimately goes ahead and provides the emergency assistance that Mannix desperately needs.

After pushing for an explanation, David is shocked to learn that Leo once informed police about a nightclub's dodgy practices, but it was Mannix who was wrongly pinpointed as the snitch.

If Leo doesn't continue helping Mannix, he'll tell the nightclub owners the truth – leaving him in danger of being seriously injured too.

Now fully in the picture, David is horrified when Leo urges him to help further by stealing painkillers for Mannix from the hospital.

David reluctantly comes through for Leo in his hour of need, but he's appalled at having to risk his entire career and makes it clear that from now on they are brothers in name only.

Has Leo ruined his relationship with his twin forever by asking so much of him?

Neighbours airs these scenes on Tuesday, July 4 and Wednesday, July 5 at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5.
