Neighbours double act Sonya Rebecchi and Mark Brennan may have spotted another possible hole in Dee Bliss's bizarre back-from-the-dead story.

Ramsay Street is currently divided over whether Dee's miraculous survival is too good to be true after she turned up on the Rebecchis' doorstep last week following a 13-year absence.

Dee told Toadie that she was rescued and befriended by a reclusive woman called Emily, who was on the run from an abusive husband at the time.

Some fans have questioned whether "Emily" is even real or if she could be a split personality of Dee's, but in today's episode, it's confirmed that the police have finally managed to make contact with her.

Well that settles that - or does it? Unsurprisingly, the police 'interview' with Emily only raises more questions rather than answers.

With the pair still highly suspicious over the whole Dee situation, Sonya tells Mark: "The gaps in her story are just very convenient. I mean, this Emily woman who saved her. Why would she only talk to the police over the phone? Why wouldn't she give her address?"

Mark replies: "I don't know, apparently she has some sort of severe phobia."

That sounds a little bit odd! Could this add weight to the ongoing fan theory that "Emily" is somebody we know? Or worse, was just Dee impersonating somebody else on the phone?

Later on, Sonya plucks up the courage to raise her suspicions with Toadie as they're lying in bed together - despite knowing it's the last thing he wants to hear.

Sonya asks Toadie: "Don't you think her story about the reclusive woman is just a bit... strange? And the fact that she hasn't contacted her family or you until now?"

Toadie replies: "It's like what Karl said. A brain injury can make you irrational or unpredictable, completely change your personality."

That'll be a 'no' then. So is the gap widening between the Team Sonya and Team Dee camp?

Neighbours airs these scenes today (January 30) at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5.
