Neighbours spoilers follow for UK viewers.
Neighbours' Melanie Peterson is set to return to the show once again for a surprise date with Toadie Rebecchi.
The character, who is played by Lucinda Cowen and was a show regular between 1987 and 1991, made a comeback earlier this month which saw her catch up with old pals Jane Harris and Des Clarke. The reunion was orchestrated by scheming Sheila Canning in the hope of getting Clive Gibbons alone.
In scenes set to air next week, though, viewers will see Melanie meet Toadie (Ryan Moloney) at The Waterhole for a more romantically-inclined occasion having previously linked up on Tinder.
When she arrives at the bar, Toadie is shocked to see her, and ponders why he didn't recognise her while they were talking on the app. It's then that Melanie admits to using a decades-old photo for her dating profile and lying about her age, which causes him to lose interest a bit.
His excitement wanes even more as the pair's rendezvous continues too, as Melanie's full-on personality means he can't get a word in. So things are pretty awkward when she asks him outright whether he'd be keen for a second date.
Paul Robinson (Stefan Dennis), having eavesdropped on the exchange, is left highly amused, but he daren't come over and diffuse the tension as he's trying to avoid Melanie.
Later, when Paul teases Toadie about Melanie, Toadie defends her, surprising himself at the loyalty he feels towards his new friend.
Neighbours airs these scenes on Monday, February 22 at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5.
