Neighbours rescue kitten trapped on ninth-floor balcony in eastern China

Neighbours rescued a kitten trapped on a ninth-floor balcony in eastern China. The heroic video, filmed in the city of Yangzhou in Jiangsu Province on August 18, shows a plank with cat food on it being put in between the ninth-floor balcony window and the corridor. The kitten then walked out of the balcony window and was rescued by a neighbour named Wu. According to reports, the kitten’s owner was not home and it was trapped on the ninth-floor balcony. As the kitten kept meowing for several days and the balcony’s window was not closed. Ms Wu found a plank as a bridge for the kitten to walk out of the balcony. The kitten’s owner might be stuck in somewhere due to the COVID-19 lockdown. The kitten was taken care of by a resident and it’s in a good condition. The video was provided by local media with permission.
