Neighbours star Alan Fletcher teases "fantastic" revival series
Neighbours star Alan Fletcher has given fans an idea of what to expect from the upcoming revival series, promising that the new storylines will be "fantastic".
Speaking to TV WEEK about the restarted show, Fletcher revealed that returning to set felt like a homecoming of sorts.
"Neighbours has always been a family," he said. "When people see it [Neighbours], it will be like coming back to a familiar friend. There are lot of things for fans to be excited about. Neighbours will pull out all the stops to surprise audiences."

Fans around the world were surprised by the news of the iconic Australian soap's return last November, following the show's cancellation after 37 years on air. The show's final episode aired in July and saw stars such as Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan return to say their goodbyes.
The show will be moving to a new home of Amazon Freevee in the UK and US and Prime Video in Australia, New Zealand and Canada. Previous episodes will also be available across the streaming platform.
Filming has already begun, with the soap returning to its Ramsay Street home at Pin Oak Court in Vermont South, Australia.

Several stars have already been confirmed to be returning to the soap, with Jackie Woodburne, Stefan Dennis, Ryan Moloney amongst the actors reprising their roles. The OC and The Hills star Mischa Barton has also been confirmed to be joining the show.
Following the revival announcement, Lauren Anderson, head of AVOD original content and programming for Amazon Studios, revealed the site was looking forward to bringing the show to a new audience.
"Neighbours has captivated its audience for nearly 40 years," she said in a statement. "We look forward to immersing the audience in new Ramsay Street experiences when we relaunch the show [in 2023] for Amazon Freevee and Prime Video customers."
Neighbours returns in the second half of 2023 with new episodes streaming free on Amazon Freevee in the UK and US. Network 10 will retain first-run rights in Australia for the new series.
