Neighbours spoilers follow for UK viewers.

Neighbours star Benny Turland has revealed that he hopes Pierce Grayson can return to Ramsay Street.

Pierce is the father of Benny's character Hendrix and he made his exit from the soap last November after reconciling with his son.

When asked if he'd like Pierce to come back, Benny told Digital Spy exclusively: "Absolutely, I feel like there's still room for Pierce and Hendrix's relationship to grow.

"I'd really love those scenes if he came back, I know exactly what Hendrix would want to say to him and it'd be a lot of fun. It'd also be great to hang out with Tim again, of course."

The role of Pierce was recast last year with Don Hany taking over the character after Tim Robards decided to leave the show earlier than planned.

Speaking about Pierce's recasting, Benny said: "Tim Robards is like my older brother and we get along really well.

"We did spend a lot of time off set hanging out. He's done so much for me and I love that guy a lot.

"When Don came in, it was a huge shock. But I completely understood and I would have done the same thing in Tim's situation."

"When Don came in, we got along so well," Benny added. "I really connected with him, he was great to be on set with and I enjoyed playing around with scenes with him. So I got the best of both worlds there!"

Benny also shared his thoughts on his character's journey so far, as Hendrix has gradually won people over on Ramsay Street.

"The journey has been huge," he said. "Hendrix has found his feet a little bit more when it comes to where he stands in the world. Harlow has helped with that a lot, as well as the emotional journey he went on with his dad.

"He's tried to figure out who he wants to be and where he wants to be.

"Pierce leaving was then another huge step for Hendrix because it's the first time he's been on his own with no family there. Moving into Karl and Susan's place was definitely the best option for him, for a bit of guidance.

"It was a big shock for him when he came to terms with the responsibilities and what he has to do, because he doesn't have anyone else to fall back on."
