The pair play auntie/niece duo Susan Kennedy and Bea Nilsson in the Aussie soap, and whilst chatting exclusively to Digital Spy recently, Woodburne admitted the news made her feel "very sad".
"We've had a wonderful time with her. She's grown from a very inexperienced, very nervous actor, to a much more controlled and relaxed performer," reflected the actress.
Anderson previously revealed that her main aim throughout 2021 is to "really hone in on my music" and this is something her co-star went on to discuss.
"She's always had a big career in music and we've always been aware that she's an astonishing singer. I think over the last few months she's had a lot of success in that area, so we all thought she'd have to capitalise on those successes if she wanted to really move forward.
"She won The Masked Singer over here [in Australia] and that was just sensational for Bonnie. So we're not surprised but we're very sad. She's going to go off and achieve her goals."
Asked whether she'd like to see more family members surround Susan once Bea leaves Erinsborough, Woodburne explained: "The school always keeps her busy, but in terms of the Kennedy house, Fletch and I would both agree that our favourite dynamic in the Kennedy house is a house full.
"That's when we get to have a lot of fun – when it's noisy, boisterous and busy. That's our favourite time."
