Much to the disappointment of fans, ourselves included, Carla Bonner and her character Steph Scully departed Neighbours earlier this year. It was a nice exit, with Steph leaving with her boys to start a new life, which is better than being killed off off-screen.

But those of you begging for Carla to reconsider her decision, we've got some bad news: the actress looks like she has plenty of new things she wants to explore and keep herself busy, so it doesn't look like she'll be returning to Ramsay Street anytime soon.

Speaking to Australia's New Idea magazine, the actress said: "I've been working on a hilarious YouTube, new to ABC, series comedy Superwog ― a very clever show developed by brothers Theo and Nathan Saidden - very funny stuff. Andrew Blackman played my husband. We all had a fantastic time!

"What I really see as the next chapter in my life and career, is speaking to the sisterhood, to groups of women, about feminine leadership and empowerment."

As well as all that, Carla's got herself a very attractive French/Italian boyfriend, who she described as being "naughty 40" and "amazing". Good on her!

Neighbours airs weekdays at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5.
