Neighbours' Terese makes Jesse slip-up as her grief for Josh is revisited

Neighbours spoilers follow for UK viewers.

Neighbours' Terese Willis makes a slip-up in front of Jesse Porter on UK screens next week, as her grief for her late son Josh is revisited.

In recent weeks, Terese (Rebekah Elmaloglou) has bonded with Jesse (Cameron Robbie), the son of Julie Quill. Julie was the person responsible for Josh's death.

In upcoming scenes on Channel 5, the Lassiters staff express frustration after Paul Robinson (Stefan Dennis), in a case of nepotism, creates the senior position of executive liaison for his granddaughter Harlow (Jemma Donovan), despite her obvious lack of experience.

Chloe Brennan (April Rose Pengilly) and Terese aren't happy, either.

Chloe is put in an awkward position when she's asked to calm the staff down, and shares how she feels about Harlow's promotion with the HR manager.

The HR manager ends up recommending that the promotion be rescinded, but Paul becomes increasingly stubborn – which frustrates Terese.

The staff then go on strike, leaving the hotel severely short-staffed and under pressure from unsatisfied guests.

However, Jesse doesn't join in with the strike to support Terese.

Jesse's efforts are hugely appreciated by Terese, particularly after he plays a part in resolving the strike as Paul reluctantly agrees to take back Harlow's promotion.

While thanking Jesse, Terese accidentally calls Jesse 'Josh'.

Terese is affected by the Freudian slip, but she and Josh smooth things over. Paul, on the other hand, is concerned and confronts Terese over the incident.

Terese doesn't take kindly to Paul's comments. She insists that he's reading too much into the situation, and that Jesse is just somebody she's giving guidance to.

Paul doesn't let it go. When Jesse receives a surprising call and is told that his mother Julie wants him to visit her in jail, he initially decides not to go – a decision which is supported by Terese.

After Paul confronts Terese, she ends up having a change of heart and encourages Jesse to see his mother. She also makes the decision to to visit Julie herself.

Neighbours airs these scenes on Tuesday, September 21 and Wednesday, September 22 at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5.
