Neighbours spoilers follow for UK viewers.

Neighbours' Toadie Rebecchi and Melanie Pearson fall out on UK screens next week over Toadie's children Nell and Hugo.

Toadie (Ryan Moloney) and Melanie (Lucinda Cowden) have been dating in recent weeks, although Toadie has wanted to keep their relationship a secret from his kids.

In scenes airing on Channel 5 next week, Melanie tries to encourage her boyfriend to tell Nell (Scarlett Anderson) and Hugo (John Turner) the truth, especially since she is seeing them more often.

Toadie believes the best way to proceed is to continue hiding their relationship for the time being, which Melanie reluctantly agrees to.

But this only causes confusion for the children, and mischievously nudged by Paul Robinson (Stefan Dennis), Nell and Hugo begin to annoy Melanie by repeatedly calling her "granny".

Eventually, a frustrated Melanie blurts out to them that she's their father's girlfriend.

Toadie is unhappy with Melanie, and accuses her of having a bruised ego.

The tension between them is unresolved as they are invited to a dinner party with Jane Harris (Annie Jones) and Clive Gibbons (Geoff Paine). Their problems come out during the meal as Jane and Clive awkwardly watch on.

Toadie expresses annoyance that Melanie isn't taking responsibility for what happened with the children, but Melanie counters she felt disrespected that Toadie pushed to keep her a secret.

Will they see each other's point of view and make up?

Neighbours airs these scenes on Tuesday, June 15 and Wednesday, June 16 at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5.
