Neighbours' Toadie Rebecchi betrays Melanie Pearson with Rose Walker kiss

Neighbours spoilers follow for UK and Australian viewers.

Neighbours' Toadie Rebecchi kisses Rose Walker on Australian screens next week, despite being in a relationship with Melanie Pearson.

The recent return of Rose (Lucy Durack) has put some strain on Toadie (Ryan Moloney) and Melanie's (Lucinda Cowden) relationship, as Rose plots to win Toadie for herself.

In upcoming scenes on 10 Peach (via TV Week magazine), Melanie's accident at the launch party for Erinsborough's Shorts and Briefs film festival causes Rose to worry about a potential lawsuit. But luckily for her, Toadie comes in and successfully helps her out.

While thanking Toadie, Rose kisses him.

Toadie, caught by surprise, then pulls away and tells a hurt Melanie – who has warned him about Rose – about the kiss.

"Mel has been made out to look a bit crazier than she is, and Rose has taken advantage of that," Lucinda Cowden tells TV Week. "Rose has added to the idea that Mel is too 'out there' and not good enough for Toadie.

"Soon, Mel starts to feel that that's what everyone thinks – including Toadie."

Toadie apologises and wants to make it up to Melanie, but also struggles with the spark that he felt with Rose. He feels conflicted.
