Neil Harris excited by Millwall's 'danger pair' Tom Elliott and Fred Onyedinma

Millwall manager Neil Harris has spoken of his excitement about “dangerous pairing” Tom Elliott and Fred Onyedinma after their 0-0 draw at Stevenage.

Despite the stalemate, Millwall dominated long periods of the game, and were only denied a decisive goal by some inspired goalkeeping from Joe Fryer, who is on loan at the Lamex Stadium from Middlesbrough.

Harris was heartened by what he saw from his new-look front two, with Eliott having signed this summer from AFC Wimbledon and Onyedinma agreeing a new long-term deal.

"On Saturday [at Barnet] we looked very pre-season like,” Harris told the club site.

“But tonight, we looked sharper. We were very dangerous with the ball.

"We can still brush up defensively, we can still tighten up at the back, but the only thing lacking tonight was the end product - that final touch in the box.

“Their goalkeeper made some great saves.

"Tonight we've made bundles of chances - that really pleases me. Tom [Elliott] and Fred [Onyedinma] have had huge amounts of chances.

“Because we're making them, we're going to convert them over the course of the season."

"He's a dangerous player.” Harris added when asked about Onyedinma,

“He has pace and power and gets himself into some really difficult situations for defenders to deal with.

"He and Tom looked a dangerous pairing. They had the raw attributes of a good partnership."
